Sr. Prado was born in Madrid in
1961. As a poet he has published Cobijo contra la tormenta (1995,
Hiperión Prize) and Todos nosotros (1998). His novels have included Raro
(1995), Alguien se acerca (1998), No sólo el fuego (1999), Nunca
le des la mano a un pistolero zurdo (translated into English as
"Never Shake Hands with a Left Handed Gunman," 1999), and La
nieve está vacía (2000). Prado’s latest publication is Los nombres
de Antígona (2001), a biographical work. Prado was the 1999 recipient
of the "XVI Premio Andalucía de Novela".
