Research Questions
Please consider
writing a paper that addresses any of the following topics. Also,
you may make up a good question related to these or other topics and
submit a paper.
- Game Theory Applications:
Write an expository article describing a game that applies to any real
world setting. Any reasonable real-world setting is legitimate.
For now, a simple (2x2) matrix game is fine. Good papers may
provide basis for later articles that expand or enhance the reality
level of the model. Be creative--all good application ideas
welcome. [Level 2 - 3]
- Math-Econ: Nash is best
known for his applications to Economics. In his honor, develop
any of the economics models in the text to a deeper level of reality
or complexity. For example, compare expenditures on Research &
Development vs. Marketing (text, chapter 8). [Level
2]
- Math-Eon: A textbook with
a very good treatment of game theoretic economics is available online
(open-source): www.introecon.com.
The text by is by Preston McAfee. See chapter 7 for 100 pages of
examples and ideas. [Level 1 - 3
problems available]
