Constructions, Congruence, and Similarity

Terms to Define:  similar, congruent, circle, congruent segments*, congruent angles*, congruent circles, congruent triangles*, perpendicular bisector of a segment, altitude of a triangle.
 *Define by words and also by symbols.

Terms of which to have a working knowledge:  arc, center of an arc, minor arc, major arc, semicircle, included angle.

Compass & Straightedge Constructions:
1. Construct a circle given its radius.
2. Construct a segment congruent to a given segment.
3. Construct a triangle given three sides. (SSS)
4. Construct a triangle congruent to a given triangle using three sides.(SSS)
5. Construct an angle congruent to a given angle. (Copying an angle.)
6. Construct the perpendicular bisector of a segment.
7. Construct a triangle given two sides and the included angle.(SAS)
8. Construct a triangle congruent to a given triangle using two sides and the included angle.(SAS)

Know how to construct an angle bisector.  Know what the median of a triangle is.
