Amie Comeaux's "Moving Out" and Moving Up! Blonde, blue-eyed Amie Comeaux had one goal in mind for her self-titled debut CD: fill it with strong and powerful country tunes that everyone -- not just 17- year-olds like herself -- can relate to. And from the sound of things, the songstress from Port Allen, Louisiana has managed to do just that. Her first single, "Moving Out," is filled with emotion and conviction. Like her idols Whitney Houston and country legend Patsy Cline, Amie's voice can really pack a whollop-and you don't have to be a country music fan to appreciate that! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From Teen Beat Magazine, March 1995 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Up 'n' Comers: The Scoop on the Latest Movers'n'Shakers!" Singer Amie Comeaux is Moving Out! Only 17 and moving out? Well, that's okay, because "Moving Out" is Amie Comeaux's debut album. This teenager with the grown-up voice has taken the country music world by storm. Born and raised in Port Allen, Louisiana, Amie has been singing ever since she can remember and she's been entertaining people with her full, powerhouse of a voice since she was 2-years-old! Though her love is the country sound, Amie can belt out the score of "Annie" or touch your heart with her gospel renditions of classic spirituals. "My voice is really big," says Amie. "I can't sing soft because it's not in my nature." Amie has also been influenced by other women with "big voices," such as Whitney Houston and Patsy Cline. As for her album, "Moving Out," Amie spent almost five years picking the songs, but it was worth the time and effort. "The songs relate to not only me, but to people of all ages," says Amie. "They're fun songs. I have a few attitude songs in there, and it's fun to pretend you have a strong side to you."
