I was born in Birmingham, Ala., but my parents had relocated there from Georgia and we returned when I was very young. I have lived in Georgia since that time, but have lived all over the state. We spent almost two years in the southern part of the state just 20 miles from the Florida border, but spent most of my early life in Dalton, just 30 miles from the Tennessee border. I have also called the western part of the state home, living in the Newnan and Carrollton areas, as well as metro Atlanta in Alpharetta. I have found what I hope is my permanent home in Dahlonega and at NGCSU.
I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice from West Georgia College (now The University of West Georgia) and an M.P.A. in Justice Administration from Columbus State University. I am a graduate of Class #3 of The Georgia Law Enforcement Command College.
I have fifteen years experience in law enforcement, serving with the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office and the Alpharetta Police Department. The majority of my time in Whitfield County was spent attached to the DUI Task Force. Most of my tenure in Alpharetta was in training and administration.
Some of the pages on the site are still under construction. Please check back again.
Thanks.
