At NGCSU, MA 1111, College Algebra, is designed primarily for business majors who will take Brief Calculus, or for students who are majoring in areas that require Pre-Calculus and possibly Calculus. These majors include Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Biology, etc. MA 1111 is a fast-paced, rigorous course that prepares these students for the future required math courses. It is recommended that student with other majors take MA 1101, Mathematical Models.
Posted Wednesday, 1/9: For all MA 1111 classes, on Monday and Tuesday, I will pass a seating chart around so that I can learn your names quicker and to take roll easier. Please consider where you want to sit in the classroom for the first part of the semester and continue to sit in that same seat for a while. Thank you :).

Posted Tuesday, 1/15 (MA 1111E class): Your handout on rational equation will be due on Friday, 1/18, by 2:00 p.m. Please turn it into my office by placing it under my office door or give it to me. Check my schedule b/c I will be in class at 2:00 p.m. You may choose a partner from class to work with, but you need to make sure you and your partner do equal work on the handout. Please note on your handout who your partner is, if you choose to work with one. Have a great day :).
Posted Thursday, 1/24: Quiz 2 has been moved to Tuesday, 1/29. It will cover sections 1.4 and 1.5. You need to know the quadratic formula for the quiz, I will not give the formula to you. Your test has also been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Posted Thursday, 4/3: Notice about finals on April 25--Tour de Georgia will circumnavigate the NGCSU campus Friday afternoon. Finals will still take place. If you have a final during that time, you need to arrive on campus before noon on Friday. After your final Friday morning, you may not be able to leave campus for several hours, so plan on hanging around Friday afternoon.
